Mammalian species available in the markets
Vulpes sp. - Fox
The animals below were barely recognizable as foxes. Their musky smell was one of their few distinguishing characteristics. In terms of species they are likely tibetan foxes (Vulpes ferrilata). If so, the species is typically found in the Sichuan province of Chna (central China) at relatively high elevations.
The animals pictured below were in the Guangzhou Chao Tau markets.
