However, there have always been one or two specimens available in the Chengdu pet markets varying in size from subadults to full adults.
The pictures below are from the Chengdu pet market area. The only subspecies seen there has been Manouria emys emys. The medical condition of these animals has varied drastically from bright and alert animals to moribund specimens.
